Egyptian army deny torture allegations after call for investigation into leak

The United States has called on Egypt to investigate claims of abuse by its military, after a report claimed Egyptian army doctors had been told to operate on wounded protesters without anaesthetics.
The Pentagon said that the government should release in full a leaked report alleging torture against demonstrators opposed to military rule in 2012, months after the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak.
