I am a London-based journalist working at CNN International and NBC News and I write for various publications.
Before, I was in Cairo as The Times of London’s correspondent and where I also wrote for The Independent, Your Middle East and The Economist. I also appeared on BBC Radio, CTV Canada, and HuffPost Live.
In 2012 I gained my Masters of Science from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in New York, where I reported on the arrest of terrorist suspects, city politics, business, employment, housing, homeless veterans and also delved into reporting about Iraq. I did my undergraduate degree in Modern History at the University of Saint Andrews.
