Mubarak retrial delayed again

Toppled Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s retrial was delayed yet again on Saturday when the presiding judge adjourned the case until June 8. Last month the first attempt at a retrial collapsed within minutes when the presiding judge recused himself, citing his “unease” in reviewing the case.
Confusion, chaos and farce have been the hallmarks of the case from the start, when Mr Mubarak was first handed a life sentence last year for his role in the deaths of protestors during the January 2011 that toppled him. The trial was widely derided as incompetent, and the conviction viewed as flimsy…
